2018 Spring Trout Weekly Stocking Schedules

Changes and updates will be posted below as necessary; changes will also noted on the 24-hour Trout Stocking Hotline, 609-633-6765.

In-Season Stocking Schedules:

Week 1, April 9 - 13
Week 2, April 16 - 20
Week 3, April 23 - 27
Week 4, April 30 - May 4
Week 5, May 7 - 11
Week 6, May 14 - 18
Week 7, May 21 - 25

Trout Conservation Areas

Note that the following Year Round Trout Conservation Areas are not stocked as frequently as the rest of the stream due to the special regulations (one 15" trout per day, with no harvest allowed during the pre-season and in-season stocking closures that apply to each stream):

Musconetcong River - Point Mountain
Toms River

These stretches are scheduled for pre-season stocking and during Week 3 (April 23 - 27), Week 6 (May 14 - 18) and Week 7 (May 21 - 25). The Claremont stretch on the S/Br. Raritan River is now regulated as a Wild Trout Stream.

2018 SPRING TROUT STOCKING CHANGES / UPDATES

5/2/18 - Vehicle access to Green Turtle Pond (Passaic Co.) is restricted until Friday morning (or possibly later) for resurfacing of the access road. Anglers can still fish by the dam until the work is completed.
4/25/18 - Barbour's Pond (Passaic Co.) was not trout stocked today 4/25/18 due to police activity on the lake. The pond will be trout stocked tomorrow, 4/26/18.
4/16/18 - Hackensack River, Pascack Creek, Saddle River, and Tenakill Creek were not stocked today as scheduled due to flooding. Trout designated for those waters will be stocked next week (Wednesday) in additon to the scheduled allocation.
4/4/18 - Columbia Lake (Warren County) will not be stocked due to dam removal project.
3/15/18 - The following TCAs will be stocked on Monday, March 19: Point Mountain, Pequannock River, Ken Lockwood Gorge, Toms River and Pequest River. The road in KLG remains closed to vehicles due to icy conditions and safety concerns.
