PARK ADVISORY: On July 1, entrance fees for New Jersey’s state parks, forests and recreation areas will be collected after a two-year fee holiday.

Entrance fees will be in effect until Tuesday, Sept. 3, with the exception of Island Beach State Park which has an entrance fee year-round. A full list of state parks, forests and recreation areas that require entrance fees can be found here.

The New Jersey State Park Service administers over 452,000 acres of land comprising parks, forests, historic sites and other recreation areas actively working to manage and promote thriving natural and historic resources.

We strive to provide our visitors with a variety of recreational opportunities including hiking, biking, camping, swimming, boating and picnicking. Our historic sites offer the visitor the opportunity to journey back through time to experience life of a foregone era.
