Map Description:

The New Jersey Geological Survey was established in 1835. The primary function of the Survey is geological research and the dissemination of that information. In the past, our data was distributed only through the publication of reports and plates. This enabled us to reach professional and college/university clients. In the last five years, in the effort to reach a wider audience, we have added information circulars and a website (www.njgeology.org). This year we started a newsletter, UNEARTHING NEW JERSEY. The newsletter includes short articles featuring current research projects, information about recent publications, geologic factoids and a crossword puzzle featuring geological terminology used in the articles.
