Changes to Survey Scope of Work
Due to legislative changes repealing the Map Filing Law and incorporating its provisions into the
2012 Title Recordation Law (46:26A-1 et seq.), Green Acres has updated its Scope of Work to reflect different deliverables.
How Surveyors Can Help Hurricane Sandy Recovery
NJ Licensed Land Surveyors who wish to help in the effort to rebuild the
Jersey Shore and other towns hit hard by Super Storm Sandy are encouraged to contact these
municipalities in the affected areas. You can help if you are able to provide bulk or reduced
rates for elevation certificates across a full city block, conduct property resurveys if prepared
across a full city block, or provide other types of professional land surveying services for
individuals needing permit assistance.
For more information or to offer your company's services, contact the municipalities
in the areas where you can provide services, particularly those communities that have requested such
services as listed below. This list will be updated as municipalities contact Green Acres for such assistance, but may not be inclusive of all municipalities where such work is needed.

Green Acres has created this special “survey page” on
its website to assist those who prepare surveys for Green
Acres and those who contract for those surveys. The site
contains direct links to documents and resources of interest
to surveyors, whether performing services for local governments,
non–profit organizations, or directly for the State.
Those agencies and organizations wishing to apply for and
secure Green Acres funding and participation for their fee
and easement acquisitions will find that this information
will help them contract for appropriate survey content and
format required for Green Acres approval. If you have further
questions, please visit the Green Acres website at http://www.state.nj.us/dep/greenacres or
contact Jim Gresavage, PLS, either by e–mail at Jim.Gresavage@dep.state.nj.us or
by phone at 609–984–0496.
To simplify use of our site, the following list describes information found on each of the pages
linked to our Navigation Bar at left. Please let us know of other suggestions to improve our site.

While some information
may be in Green Acres archives, the managing entities for open space and recreational areas will
have records for all lands that they manage. While you are always welcome to file an OPRA request,
it is often faster to contact the managing entity directly to otain this information. While Green Acres
assists in the purchase of real property interests (fee or easement), it is not the managing entity for any land.
Please note that the Green Acres State
Land Acquisition Standard Scope of Survey Services (as posted
on this web site) applies to any lands acquired for the New Jersey divisions listed
below, or in partnership with the State Agricultural Development
Committee (SADC), local units, or nonprofit organizations.
For surveys of properties for which Green Acres may have provided funding assistance,
contact the municipality, county, or non-profit owners directly.
The following is a list of state organizations
and agencies that may have information
in their files preceding the formation of Green Acres
in 1961, or more current surveys beyond what is kept
in the Green Acres facilities.
The State of New Jersey's Transparency Center has made on-line mapping
available to the public at no cost. The site presents aerial photography for 2010, 2007, 2002, 1995, and 1930 as well as street maps showing tax map parcels.
While not a searchable site beyond display by county and municipality, it does allow zooming and panning.
A free searchable database of tax parcel information is available from DataUniverse. Check the currency of data posted.
