Preparing Your Application
Assuming that you have obtained an account to use the portal, prior to logging on to file your application you should have all of the application information you need at hand, as well as all of the electronic files prepared that you will need to upload. Filing for an electronic LOI is, in some sense, no different than filing a paper application. You need much the same information that you would need for a paper application, but you will be filing almost all of these electronically. The next sections will provide detailed instructions on what information is required.
You must know before you begin the process which of the four(4) Letter of Interpretation's you wish to apply for: Presence/Absence, Footprint of Disturbance, Line Delineation or Line Verification. It is highly recommended that you review the online documentation on each of these LOIs if you are unsure which LOI you require.
