PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
The Office of Legislative Affairs provides assistance to federal and state legislators. The office acts as a liaison between the legislature and the various branches of the department to address environmental issues of interest to legislators. The office also coordinates department involvement in the development of environmental legislation.

The Office of Local Government Assistance provides assistance to all the mayors, counties, municipalities and directly with inter-government affairs in other state departments as well as the Governor’s office. This program also works directly with other groups that coordinate programs throughout the year that deal with housing issues, tax conferences, redevelopment, permitting, etc. The office also works with outside agencies (e.g. NJSLOM) to address issues with the department.
