National Trails Day

Each year, the nation celebrates the values of trails with National Trails Day on the first Saturday in June. In New Jersey, we extend the celebration to include Sunday for a Trails Day weekend.  The Trails Program compiles a listing of events to take place on trails or proposed trails sponsored by public agencies and trail interest groups. Events have included hikes or bike and horseback rides, dedications of new trails, and volunteer cleanup or maintenance projects.
