| Keep Your Recreation Area Clean |
Through the Carry-In/Carry-Out Program you can help us keep your parks clean
and beautiful by carrying out the trash you carry in. Bags are provided
throughout the site. Thank you for your cooperation and remember to recycle.
There will be NO ACCESS to the Bulls Island Recreation Area from November 1 - December 15 while repair work is performed on the roadway entrance. ACCESS WILL BE CLOSED to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic for this six week period. We apologize for the temporary inconvience.
| Bull’s Island
Natural Area (24 acres) |
This natural area comprises a portion of a small
forested island surrounded by the Delaware River
and the Delaware & Raritan Canal. A trail
along the towpath of the canal reveals a lowland
floodplain forest dominated by sycamore, silver
maple and tulip poplar. Several rare plant species
are found in this natural area.

Alcohol is prohibited. Pets are prohibited in overnight facilities.
Group wilderness campsites: accommodates 7-25 people. No tables or grills provided. Modern restroom facilites with showers. Open April 1 through October 31. $25 per night.
Campsites: 44 tent and trailer sites with fire rings, picnic
tables, flush toilets and showers. Campsites
open April 1 through October 31. $20 per night.
