Permit Extension Act of 2008 Information

On September 6, 2008 Governor Jon S. Corzine signed the Permit Extension Act of 2008 (P.L. 2008, Chapter 78). The Permit Extension Act of 2008 (PL 2008, c. 78) extended applicable permits up to December 31, 2010. The Act was modified on January 18, 2010 and now extends some permits until June 30, 2013. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions for further discussion regarding permit extension time frames.

The Department has updated it's website (www.state.nj.us/dep) to include the revisions to the Act. As of April 1, 2010, the Department has reviewed 2417 PEA extension inquiries which resulted in 1099 extensions of permit deadlines.
