Commission on Radiation Protection

The Radiation Protection Act at 26:2D-1 et seq. establishes the Commission on Radiation Protection (Commission) within the Department of Environmental Protection. The Commission is charged with the authority to formulate, adopt, promulgate, amend and repeal codes, rules and regulations as may be necessary to prohibit and prevent unnecessary radiation. The Commission holds public meetings monthly, ten times per year, from September through June. Commission meetings are open to the public. Meeting dates and locations are listed click here.
