Established by the Commission of Radiation Protection in 1979.
- Responsibilities
- To advise the Commission on issues dealing with nuclear medicine technology
- To review and recommend tothe Commission educational standards and policies for nuclear medicine technology educational programs.
- To review and recommend to the Commission licensure standards.
- To review and recommend to the Commission accreditation to those nuclear medicine technology programs that meet or exceed the educational standards and policies.
- To review and recommend to the Commission a practice of nuclear medicine technology.
- To review credentials of individuals who have applied for either a nuclear medicine technology license or examination, but have received their education from another state or country.
