NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGY
Other than a medical doctor who is authorized to use radioactive materials, all nuclear medicine procedures must be performed by a licensed nuclear medicine technologist. A nuclear medicine technologist is not permitted to operate a x-ray equipment.
Licensing Examination:
The licensing examination is only offered via computer. The examination can be taken at one of over 200 test centers across the country. The use of a computerized examiantion offers quicker service and greater scheduling flexilibity. An application can be submitted at anytime. The minimum score needed to pass is 75%.
