Notice of Rule Proposal
Amendments to 2004-2005 Game Code N.J.A.C. 7:25-5
Public Notice
Take notice that the NJ Fish and Game Council is proposing amendments
to the 2004-2005 Game Code. The Fish and Game Council, in response
to harvest totals from the 2003-2004 hunting and trapping seasons,
and scientific information provided by the Division of Fish
and Wildlife, proposes to revise the Game Code for the 2004-2005
hunting and trapping seasons. Amendments will affect season
length, harvest limits, changes in methods of take and make
calendar date adjustments to existing seasons. Calendar date
changes were made to the bear, deer, upland game and furbearer
trapping seasons. The non-toxic shot requirement is extended
to most webless migratory bird hunting, beaver trapping quotas
are increased in selected zones and regulations governing deer
hunting on selected federally controlled areas are amended at
the request of the administering agency. Falconers are allowed
to possess eyass goshawks legally acquired in other states.
The Proposal is scheduled to be published in the New Jersey
Register dated May 17, 2004. A copy of the proposal is available
from the NJDFW website,

08625 and Westlaw Publishing at 1-800-808-WEST. Be advised that
there may be a fee for obtaining a copy of the proposal from
some sources.
A public hearing(s) concerning the proposal is scheduled as
