Electronic Data Submittal Applications (EDSA)

Download Users Manual Readme

Current version: Version 5.00.001; Last updated 29 July 1999.

The EDSA routine for Windows 95/98 is an administrative and completeness check which will be run on all electronic data submitted to SRP prior to that data being reviewed, evaluated or used by SRP personnel. It is suggested that parties submitting electronic data in the .txt, .wk1, or .dbf format run this check to determine if the basic required information is included and correct. This routine is intended to decrease the occurrence of SRP rejecting data for administrative errors or omissions. (This check is inherent in the HazSite data submittal system.)

New features in this version of EDSA include:

  1. The ability to check the formatting of TXT files as tab delimited ASCII (the previous versions of EDSA only checked DBF and WK1 files).

  2. The ability to view the error files directly from the EDSA program (using Notepad), rather than having to exit EDSA and find the files. In addition, the error files are not immediately sent to the printer. On the startup screen, the user would go to the "View Data Check Reports," select the report to be viewed (i.e., "Sample Errors," "Result Errors," or "Analyte Warnings") and then click on "Display."

  3. The ability to view the HZSAMPLE and HZRESULT files directly through the EDSA program. It should be noted that this tool only functions if the user has Microsoft Excel installed on his/her computer in the standard location. On the startup screen, the user would click on "Utilities," then select which dataset file to view (i.e., "Submitted Samples" or "Submitted Results"), then click on "View Files."

Download EDSA

Before downloading the EDSA files, we recommend you take a look at its readme.txt information.

The ZIP files requires PKUNZIP or compatible utility to unpack them. The EXE files are an alternative package for people who don't have such unpacking software. File Format Help

You can download the entire EDSA application as one file or as a set of four files. The split download as four files is recommended for people who may have connection problems or might not be able to leave a modem connection to the Internet going for several hours.
