[SRRA]: Potable Well Access Template Letters Available on the Site Remediation Program Web Page

Template letters for LSRPs interested in obtaining access to private properties to conduct potable well testing are now available on the Site Remediation Program's web page at https://www.nj.gov/dep/srp/guidance/IEC/index.html. These template letters are provided as a courtesy and their use is optional.

The five potable well access template letters address the following situations:

  1. Informing the property owner that the person responsible for conducting the remediation is interested in sampling his or her well;
  2. Following up when no response has been received to initial requests to conduct potable well testing, or the property owner has refused access;
  3. Offering installation of a point-of-entry treatment system;
  4. Documenting that a property owner is refusing the offer of a point-of-entry treatment system or has not responded, and there are no tenants or the property is not a public space; and
  5. Documenting that a property owner is refusing the offer of a point-of-entry treatment system or has not responded, and there are tenants or the property is a public space.

Optional potable well sampling results template letters are also available on the same web page.
