UPDATE ON REQUEST FOR PUBLIC INPUT
April 17, 2014

The following update was posted to the Office of Science website on April 17:

Due to several requests from the public for additional time to comment on the draft documents, the deadline has been extended 10 days. Therefore, please submit comments by 5 pm EDST on May 1, 2014.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has developed and is requesting public input for a draft Interim Specific Ground Water Quality Criterion (ISGWQC) and analytical draft interim practical quantitation limit (PQL) for Perfluorononanoic Acid (PFNA, CAS # 375-95-1).

The following draft documents have been posted to our website:

  • Summary of the Basis for a Draft Interim Specific Ground Water Quality Criterion for Perfluorononanoic Acid (PFNA, C9)
  • Draft Interim Practical Quantitation Level (PQL) determination to support Interim Specific Ground Water Quality Criterion development for Perfluorononanoic Acid (PFNA)
  • Draft list of references used for development of the ISGWQC
  • Draft Technical Support Document: Interim Specific Ground Water Criterion for Perfluorononanoic Acid (pdf)
  • Focus Questions for Public Input (pdf)
