Site Remediation Basics Course at Cook College

This course described is being offered by Cook College's
Continuing Professional Education program. The course will fulfill the
requirements for Cleanup Star applicants
to have completed a generally recognized course on NJDEP's technical guidance
for all phases of site remediation.
If you need to learn the basics about working with the
NJDEP Site Remediation Program (SRP) or want to find out:
- What is a Preliminary Assessment?
- How do I obtain a Variance Approval?
- What can I do to achieve No Further Action at my site?
This one-day introductory level short course is for you! Representatives
from the NJDEP will show you how to effectively use regulations and guidance
documents when conducting site investigation and remediation activities
to attain compliance with the Industrial Site Recovery Act, the Underground
Storage of Hazardous Substance Act and the Spill Compensation and Control
Act, along with associated Administrative Consent Orders and Voluntary
Cleanups. NJDEP SRP personnel will present case studies to help demonstrate
how to prepare and submit workplans and report packages.
The fee is $195 on/before Nov. 1st; $225 after Nov. 1st; $175 Multi-Person.
