NEWARK Department of Banking and Insurance Commissioner Ken Kobylowski on Tuesday spoke to a group of senior citizens at Bethany Church Senior Center in Newark about life insurance, reverse mortgages, annuities, and long term care. He encouraged them to ask questions and inform themselves before they purchase products.

Commissioner Kobylowski addressed the group as part of the Department’s ongoing Senior Financial Literacy Program that began last May. The program, designed by the Department specifically for senior citizens, complements the Department’s ongoing financial literacy outreach to high school students, which covers personal finance, the importance of saving, use of credit cards, social media and identity theft.
