Hope Cares is a comprehensive afterschool and summer program serving students from Hope Academy Charter School and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School in Asbury Park. Hope Cares will provide for its participants academic support; help in developing self-confidence, character, and social skills; a nutritious snack; basic healthcare; and exposure to a world of possibilities well beyond their own neighborhoods. In addition to working closely with our students, the program will work with participants’ families to provide adult education opportunities and to foster a deeper involvement by parents in their children’s education. Hope Cares will build a network of community resources and funders to ensure the longevity of this program.
