Personal Financial Literacy Pilot Program
Background
P.L.2009, c.153 (A1943/S2211) authorized the establishment of a three-year pilot program to provide high school seniors in selected districts with a personal financial literacy course. The goal of the pilot program is to ensure that high school graduates in the pilot districts receive instruction on budgeting, savings and investment, credit card debt, and other issues associated with personal financial responsibility. The pilot program will expire at the end of the 2012-2013 school year.
