  • American Educational Research Association (AERA)
    AERA is concerned with improving the educational process by encouraging scholarly inquiry related to education and by promoting the dissemination and practical application of research results.
  • Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators
    AMTE is the largest professional organization devoted to the improvement of mathematics teacher education — it includes over 1,000 members supporting the preservice education and professional development of preK-16 teachers of mathematics. Members include professors, researchers, teacher-leaders, school mathematics coordinators, policy experts, graduate students, and others.
  • Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD)
    ASCD is an international, nonprofit, nonpartisan education association committed to the mission of forging covenants in teaching and learning for the success of all learners. ASCD provides professional development in curriculum and supervision; encourages research, evaluation, and theory development; and disseminates information on education issues.
  • The Benjamin Banneker Association
    The Benjamin Banneker Association, Inc. is a national non-profit organization and partner affiliate with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), dedicated to mathematics education advocacy, establishing a presence for leadership, and professional development to support teachers in leveling the playing field for mathematics learning of the highest quality for African-American students.
  • Education Commission of the States (ECS)
    ECS is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization representing the states' interest in education.  The ECS web site provides a wealth of information on dozens of education issues, from accountability to vouchers. There is an extensive section devoted to No Child Left Behind.
  • Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation
    NCATE is a coalition of specialty professional associations of teachers, teacher educators, content specialists, and local and state policymakers. The organization serves as the profession's mechanism for establishing high-quality teacher preparation through the process of professional accreditation of schools, colleges, and departments of education.
  • Conference Board of the Mathematical Sciences
    The Conference Board of the Mathematical Sciences (CBMS), hosted at Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota, is an umbrella organization consisting of seventeen professional societies all of which have as one of their primary objectives the increase or diffusion of knowledge in one or more of the mathematical sciences. Its purpose is to promote understanding and cooperation among these national organizations so that they work together and support each other in their efforts to promote research, improve education, and expand the uses of mathematics.
  • Mathematical Association of America
    The Mathematical Association of America is the world's largest community of mathematicians, students, and enthusiasts. MAA supports learning in the mathematical sciences by encouraging effective curriculum, teaching, and assessment at all levels, provides resources and activities that foster scholarship, professional growth, and cooperation among teachers, other professionals, and students, and influences institutional and public policy through advocacy for the importance, uses, and needs of the mathematical sciences.
  • National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
    NAEYC leads and consolidates the efforts of individuals and groups working to achieve healthy development and constructive education for all young children.
  • National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS)
    NBPTS is an independent, private, nonprofit organization working to improve teaching and learning in America's schools.
  • National Council of Teachers of Mathematics
    Founded in 1920, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) is the world's largest mathematics education organization
  • National Education Association
    NEA is committed to advancing the cause of public education. Its members work at every level of education, from pre-school to university graduate programs.
  • New Jersey Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (NJASCD)
    The New Jersey Affiliate of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development is an award-winning organization, with a focus on providing excellence in the learning community. The core aspects of the association address teaching, learning and educational leadership through its many products, programs and services.
  • New Jersey Education Association (NJEA)
    NJEA is a diverse, democratic organization working to create an optimal environment to achieve excellence in public education in New Jersey.
  • North American Chapter of the International Group for the Psychology of Mathematics Education
    The North American chapter of the International Group for the Psychology of Mathematics Education (PME-NA) is a 501(c)(3) organization. The major goals of PME-NA are (1) To promote international contacts and the exchange of scientific information in the psychology of mathematics education. (2) To promote and stimulate interdisciplinary research in the aforesaid area, with the cooperation of psychologists, mathematicians and mathematics teachers. and (3) To further a deeper and better understanding of the psychological aspects of teaching and learning mathematics and the implications thereof.
  • Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics
    SIAM exists to ensure the strongest interactions between mathematics and other scientific and technological communities through membership activities, publication of journals and books, and conferences.
