Directions to the Union County Office New Jersey Department of Education

Coming North:
Use Garden State Parkway to Exit 135. Stay left on the ramp (Westfield); cross the circle by going through the first signal. Turn left at the second signal. Go under the overpass and continue strait, leaving the circle on Central Avenue. Continue on Central Avenue for approximately 2-3/4 miles into Westfield. After going underneath R.R. overpass, make right turn onto North Avenue (NJSH 28). Go beyond the parking lot for the Drug Fair strip mall on your right, and park on the street. Our two-story brick building is adjacent to the strip mall and across from the Westfield Diner. Please enter through the front doors, proceed to the second floor, and check in with the reception office.

Coming East from Somerset County:
(via Route 22) Exit Route 22 to New Providence Road, Mountainside (just past Dave’s Famous BBQ). At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto New Providence Road. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Mountain Avenue. At the next traffic light turn right onto E. Broad Street (just after passing old Presbyterian Church on left) and a quick left onto Central Avenue. At the next traffic light, turn left onto North Avenue (NJSH 28). Go beyond the parking lot for the Drug Fair strip mall on your right, and park on the street. Our two-story brick building is adjacent to the strip mall and across from the Westfield Diner. Please enter through the front doors, proceed to the second floor, and check in with the reception office.

Coming South:
Use Garden State Parkway to Exit 137—right on Route 28 (North Avenue), toward Cranford and continue a little over 3 miles through Cranford, Garwood and into Westfield. You will pass a Chevrolet dealership on the left and a Buick dealership on the right. Our two-story brick building is 1/10 of a mile past the dealerships on your left. Parking is on the street. Please enter through the front doors, proceed to the second floor, and check in with the reception office.

Alternate South:
If you come through Springfield, cross Route 22 on Springfield Avenue and continue about 1-1/2 miles to E. Broad Street. Make a right on E. Broad Street. Follow E. Broad Street to the third traffic signal (near the Rialto Theater) and turn left onto Central Avenue. At the next traffic light, turn left onto North Avenue (NJSH 28). Go beyond the parking lot for the Drug Fair strip mall on your right, and park on the street. Our two-story brick building is adjacent to the strip mall and across from the Westfield Diner.
