The Division of District and School Improvement oversees the development and implementation of district and school improvement initiatives to meet the requirements of New Jersey Quality Single Accountability Continuum (NJQSAC). The division also supports the Collaborative Assessment and Planning for Achievement (CAPA) process and assists with the development of targeted interventions for schools and districts in need of improvement.
The framework for planning and continuous improvement utilizes research-based strategies and protocols, based on data, needs and outcomes. The division also provides guidance on professional development opportunities for school and district improvement. Systemic change and improvement in schools and districts is supported through creative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
