Michael Lawrence

Michael Lawrence has taught Physics at West Orange High School since 1974.  He received his doctorate in Science Education from Rutgers University in 1997.  He has served as lead teacher, consultant and co-director for NSF and NASA-funded programs in astrophysics, modeling, and assessment. Michael has authored or co-authored articles appearing in six journals, including The Journal of Research In Science Teaching.

A career-long member of the AAPT,  he has presented his work at state, regional, and national meetings. Michael has won recognition with numerous honors, including the 1993 & 1994 PAEMST state finalist and the 2013 M.I.T. Inspirational Teacher Award.
