Travel Guidelines

As noted in the Commissioner's memo dated March 17, 2008, the revised OMB travel circular gives the Commissioner the authority to grant waivers for school board members and school district employees to obtain reimbursement for overnight lodging in connection with attendance at in-state conferences.

On April 17, 2008, the Department issued a Proposed Guidance on overnight travel which is available here. The Department recently revised the guidelines, which are available here. The revised guidelines will be incorporated into regulations that will be issued by the Department shortly.
