GRANT MANAGEMENT

Identifying Discretionary Grant Payments

When payments are made for discretionary grants, districts and other agencies often are unable to identify the program associated with the payment. The bank statement usually indicates "NJDOE" followed by the Notice of Grant Opportunity (NGO) code (2 letters and two numbers, for example CA37). The chart below, sorted by NGO code, lists all SFY 2004, SFY 2005, SFY 2006, SFY 2007, SFY 2008, and SFY 2009 discretionary grant programs by NGO code and lists the discretionary grant program associated with each NGO code.
