This workshop will focus on the decision-making process for providing students with disabilities full access to the Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards of Quality within general education preschool classrooms. A key aspect of the IEP decision-making process is the consideration of appropriate supports and services to address individual student needs within the general education preschool program. In this regard, this workshop will describe a variety of supports that can be provided within the general education preschool classroom to address student needs in the areas of learning, cognition, communication, physical, sensory, and social-emotional development.
Audience: Child study team members, general and special education teachers, parents, related service providers, and administrators who are responsible or are providing services for preschool children with disabilities.
