Two Day Workshop
Designing Programs for
Students with Moderate to Severe Cognitive Disabilities
within General Education Programs:
Focus on Communication and Social Skills

During this two day workshop, participants will learn practical ways to design programs that facilitate the development of age appropriate communication and social skills for students with moderate to severe cognitive disabilities. Discussion will focus on classroom routines and procedures, ways to create active and responsive lessons, as well as instructional strategies and techniques that support communication, social skills and friendships of these students within general education programs and settings.
Audience: General and special education administrators, child study team members, general and special educators, and related service personnel – Grades K-6
Participants must register for both days of this two day workshop.
