Information Session on Implementing Chinese Language Programs Booked Solid

More than 100 school administrators representing 55 school districts throughout New Jersey are expected to participate next week in a statewide information session, Fostering the New Jersey / China Connection: Creating Chinese Language Programs in Our School. The session will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors (NJPSA) Headquarters, 12 Centre Drive, in Monroe Township.

The session, offered by the New Jersey Department of Education in collaboration with the national Chinese Language Association for Elementary and Secondary Schools (CLASS) is fully booked. Click here for a list of participants. Schools and districts interested in establishing Chinese language programs will receive information on how to plan, launch and sustain new programs in Mandarin Chinese. The session will feature experts in the field and a panel of New Jersey supervisors currently implementing programs.
