State Extends Deadline in Annual Search for Talented Secondary Educators
The New Jersey Department of Education has extended its deadline for accepting recommendations from the state’s education community for individuals who will be part of a special group of teachers that exemplify the best qualities of their field. The original deadline of Friday April 20 has been extended to Friday May 18.
Candidates for the talent pool can be nominated by using an application found at the following link:
Teachers and principals selected for the pool may be called upon to serve on committees, panels and task forces, and are automatically eligible for consideration for various awards programs for which they are confidentially nominated.
This year’s search is targeting outstanding educators who are relatively new to the profession and demonstrate exceptional instructional ability. Recommended secondary school teachers and principals should exhibit strong potential for professional leadership and an inspiring presence that has an impact on students, colleagues and community.
All applications should be kept confidential.
