Publication of Notice for Proposed Substantial Changes to Amendments of Rules for the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act and Implementation of Abigail's Law.
At its April or May public meetings, the State Board of Education approved the following proposals for publication in the June 5, 2017, New Jersey Register:
- Notice of Proposed Substantial Changes upon Adoption to Proposed Amendments of N.J.A.C. 6A:16-7.7 and 7.8; and
- Notice of Proposed Substantial Changes upon Adoption to Proposed Amendments of N.J.A.C. 6A:27-7.13.
The notice for N.J.A.C. 6A:16-7.7 and 7.8 is related to proposed amendments of the rules implementing the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act. The notice for N.J.A.C. 6A:27-7.13 is related to proposed rules for sensors on school buses that would implement Abigail's Law.
The two notices of proposed substantial changes upon adoption can be viewed on the New Jersey Department of Education's (NJDOE) website.
Members of the public may send in written comments concerning the proposals by Aug. 4, 2017, via the NJDOE's website or via the mailing or email addresses contained in the notices of proposal.
