  • Draw figure -A by multiplying the coordinates of points on A by a negative 1 (the multiplication by negatives reverses directions).
  • Give the coordinates of the vertices of rectangle -A.
Rationale:

A figure similar to A with a magnitude of ½ A would have dimensions 1 unit by 2 units. The coordinates of figure A are (2, 2), (2, 4), (6, 4), and (6, 2). If the coordinates are multiplied by -1, the resulting figure, -A, would have coordinates (-2, -2), (-2, -4), (-6, -4), and (-6, -2).
