CONDITIONS AS DEMONSTRATED BY THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF SCIENTISTS. |

A STUDENT SHOULD KNOW:
A. EXAMPLES OF SCIENTISTS RESPONSIBLE FOR
THE DEVELOPMENT OF MAJOR IDEAS AND
THEORIES IN SCIENCE.
B. HISTORICALLY, AN INTERACTIVE RELATIONSHIP
EXISTS AMONG SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY,
AND SOCIETY.
- Science, technology, and society
are closely related. When any one component changes,
there will be an effect on the other two.
- For instance, discovery of electromagnetic
waves led to the inventions of television and radio resulting
in home entertainment and a better informed people.
III. SKILL
STATEMENTS

- Recognize the cause and effect relationship
between social/political needs and the field of science.
