This response has a single focus and progresses from beginning to end. The story develops with appropriate details and vivid language (She threw the chameleon as if she were a quarterback for the NFL.). The use of dialogue and syntactical variety demonstrate a strong command of the language. The lesson the two boys learn at the end add a sense of completeness to the story.
