Help using this site

This site is designed so that any user should be able to navigate it with some ease after a little bit of practice. Here are a few tips to help you with your navigation of this site.

First, clusters divide up this site. On the language arts side there are five clusters: Writing to Speculate, Writing to Persuade, Revise/Edit, Reading Narrative Text, and Reading Persuasive Text.

You can navigate to each area in several different ways. The first is by clicking on the diagram on the opening slide that looks like this.

If you click on any of the clusters on the main page then it will send you to that section. This will not work here on the help page.

The other way to get to the main menu is by the link at the bottom of the main page. If you click on the link then it will send you that page. The link looks like this.

The sections within each cluster are a summary of content tested, sample prompts, and examples of the student samples. The scorers' remarks are in text with some in a video format. The video formats that are available are Quicktime and RealPlayer. If you do not have the players then you can click on the following links to download these free video players.

Once you are inside the clusters, there are also links at the bottom of each page that will send you to the other clusters. The final way to navigate the site is located at the top of every page. At the top of every page will be words that show the path back to the main menu. Here is an example:
