The following  writing sample for the Sample Persuasive Writing Prompt C scored a "2" based on the New Jersey Registered Holistic Scoring Rubric.  

Scorers made the following comments about the sample below:

This sample lacks both a distinct opening and closing and has no organizational pattern or transitions. The ideas are not developed and there is repetition of ideas without elaboration. The same two sentence structures (sentence openings) are used throughout.
