The following  writing sample for the Sample Persuasive Writing Prompt C scored a "4" based on the New Jersey Registered Holistic Scoring Rubric.  

Scorers made the following comments about the sample below:

This sample shows content that is on topic. There is attempted organization but the third body paragraph is really only an extension of the second- it lacks any depth. The mechanics and usage are identified by awkward constructions, misspellings, and unclear pronoun references.
