| 1. | Although administration will be aware of your unit on the Holocaust through submitted lesson plans, it is a good idea to communicate the study of this unit. |
| 2. | Teachers may elect to visit the National Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC or The Goodwin Holocaust Museum and Education Center to prepare and establish a deeper understanding of the Holocaust. |
| 3. | If working in a team/core unit, it is advisable to provide an overview of the unit due to its sensitive nature. |
| 4. | Budget consideration for this unit will only be necessary if planning a field trip to coincide with the unit. A good source would be The Goodwin Holocaust Museum and Education Center in Cherry Hill, Camden County that provides quality programming throughout the year. |
| 5. | Partnerships with PTA and other community groups may provide an opportunity to have a survivor visit and tell his/her story. |
