Extension Activities and Modifications

• Students will be assigned Web sites of familiar stores and given a list of shapes to go “shopping” for.  Once the students find the shapes, they will copy and paste the pictures of items on a Word document and will post them in the classroom.   

• Students can write a poem or song about the different shapes and then incorporate it into their presentation.

• Student could create a digital picture book explaining shapes for elementary school children using Microsoft PowerPoint and include their animated digital picture with shapes.

  Consider if giving special needs students extra time, assistance and support from appropriate staff will result in a successful experience.
