Partnerships (such as PTA, fellow teachers, community, colleagues in-state, out-of-state, involved, supportive)

Our school’s Parent Teacher Association provided the initial push for this project when they purchased two Smart Boards on wheels for our building. We utilized two existing data projectors and two laptops to create our first rolling carts.

A “teaching with technology” knowledge base was available during the planning and implementation phases through the New Jersey Association of School Librarians, our state library media organization. Troubleshooting tips, colleague networking and other resources were quite useful, as well as providing suggestions for state-of-the-art buildings to visit.

The Technology Committee of the Highlands Regional Library Cooperative provided us with contacts of others who have developed technology-rich learning environments in our area. They provided excellent planning and upgrading information and a much-needed circle of colleagues who could answer our advanced questions.
