- For this program to work well, classroom, special education, and remedial program teachers need time to collaborate. This will enable better planning for differentiated instruction. For instance, students could learn about nouns on the correct academic level, while all students are working together on similar writing projects.
- Students can complete the same projects and be assessed each according to his or her achievement.
- It is beneficial for the school to maintain a list of writing projects (it is best if teachers develop them jointly) for each grade to make certain that every type of writing and every area of the writing process is covered.
- Teachers would also jointly create the rubrics (if necessary), and would provide sample exemplars to one another, for use with students in the classes.
