Monisha's GEPA Results
Read assessment results, and be able to analyze, interpret, and communicate the test results for one of the students in your class
Monisha's Individual Student Report (I.S.R.) shows that she is:

   • Proficient in Language Arts, achieving higher than the "Just Proficient Mean" in all Language Arts clusters. On the left of the Report, you can see that she scored 210. This is above the 200 cut-off score.
         • Monisha's strengths (look further down the left side of the report):
                  • none in particular (compare her raw scores with the JPM)

   • Only "Partially Proficient" in Mathematics. On the right of the Report, you can see that she only scored 190. This is below the 200 cut-off score.
If you look further down the right side of the report, you can see
         • Monisha's strengths
                  • none in particular (compare her raw scores with the JPM; If she did better or similar to the JPM then Monisha probably has a relative good understanding of the standard)
         • Monisha's major weakness
                  • Patterns, Functions and Algebra (she did much worse [a score of 1.5] than the JPM [5.1] for this standard, so she needs help in this area.) Please note - the new name for this standard, 4.3, is "Patterns and Algebra")

You might say that she needs immediate help in at least one area of mathematics. However, test results should never be the sole factor in making an educational decision. Perhaps there were other factors that could have had an impact on Monisha's GEPA performance itself or on our understanding of her performance. See Class Results, Monisha's academic background in mathematics or Additional Test Influences.

INTERPRETING HELP

The JPM shown for Monisha is equivalent to the cut score for the LAL cluster. So, for writing, Monisha's score of 11.00 is just over the JPM of 10.1 - so she essentially "passes" this part of the test. She also passed the other parts of the LAL test.

Now check out the Math part of the GEPA test. You can see that Monisha passed two out the 4 partys. However - students must pass the ENTIRE test for a given content area, not just parts of the test!
