What does Title I funding do and where does it go? The funds
are allocated as followsS:
- Distributed to 60 percent of all New Jersey districts
- Are supplemental funds to help schools meet the needs of educationally
disadvantaged students
- Directed to those students who are the lowest-achieving or
at the highest risk for school failure
- Based on increased accountability for the educational outcomes
of all children
