Introduction
Ms. Lois Neumann is a first grade teacher in Union City, New Jersey.
It is close to the end of the school year. She is reading Little
Red Riding Hood to her first-grade students. All students in the class can read, although some students came into Ms. Neumann's class without reading skills. Ms. Neumann pays special attention to the pre-reading tasks such as the K and W of the KWL process. As she begins to read, she allows the children to examine the cover and the title page, with particular emphasis on the author and illustrator. |
