Video-based Reading Strategies and Techniques: Interactive Writing

Assignment

Interactive Writing Assessment

PART ONE Think Ahead
  1. What is the rationale for teaching interactive writing?
  2. What are the three essential elements modeled when teaching interactive writing?
(How can I choose a topic/idea/concept to write about, how can I clearly express that concept/idea, and how can I publish that information in an effective way).
PART TWO

Write a lesson plan for an interactive writing lesson based on a suggested read aloud from your core program or a content area selection that aligns with the subject you are studying. Make sure to pinpoint those skills that you want to demonstrate.

Refer to the lesson plan rubric as a guide. After you have completed your plan, share it with your colleagues. Use the discussion rubric as a guide to determine the level of critique expected if using a discussion board, or modify it for in-person discussions.
