1. What opportunities are students given to make connections to the text? Are the connections: text to self, text to text, or text to world?
2. Activities that allow students to make connections can be motivational.
   • How can these activities also help to develop comprehension skills?
   • Are there critical thinking questions that can be incorporated in the activity? (Think about Bloom's Taxonomy.)
