Overview

In this segment of the video, the teacher and students work together in a word sort activity. The teacher begins the activity by modeling how to complete a word sort.

Classroom Activity: Observations

The teacher asks questions to check for student understanding. As she listens to the students' responses, she makes an informed decision about how to proceed. This small group activity allows the teacher to hear the students think aloud as they complete the activity.
