NJ-ASK Pre- ID Data Submission

NJ ASK and ACCESS for ELLs Submission Information

NJ SMART began taking over the Pre-ID collection for NJ ASK Grade 3 – 8 in the 2010-2011 School Year.  Required only for LEAs that serve grade levels 3 – 8, the Pre-ID Submission collected student data for the preparation of Pre-ID labels to be used on the NJ ASK Grade 3 – 8 assessments.  In doing so, the submission eliminated the need for LEAs to submit to Pre-ID data directly to Measurement Incorporated (MI) to generate Pre-ID labels.  The Pre-ID Submission also provided tighter integration with the Student Identifier (SIDs) generated through NJ SMART, supplementing it with the information required for NJ ASK via the standard NJ SMART data collection process.

In addition to the NJ ASK Pre-ID Submission process, NJ SMART will also collect ACCESS for ELL Pre-ID information through a submission beginning in December 2011.  Further details on this submission will follow in the coming weeks.

The next NJ ASK Pre-ID Submission will take place beginning in November 2011.  The option to hand-grid and update student data through the Record Change Roster process will remain the same as it has in previous years.
