What’s New?

2011-12 School Year:

Staff Member ID (SMID) Management
A new data collection will be added beginning in the 2011-2012 School Year.  NJ SMART will begin collecting staff data and assigning unique Staff Member Identification (SMID) numbers.  This will require LEAs to upload basic demographic and employment information for staff, including teachers, administrators, and other district personnel.  This process will closely follow the SID Management process implemented for students.

Staff Submission
A new submission will be added beginning in the 2011-2012 School Year.  In addition to the assignment of SMID numbers, LEAs will be required to upload additional information about staff member’s job codes, credentials, and experience levels in a Staff Submission file.  This snapshot submission will closely follow the State Submission process used for student level data.  Further communication and trainings outlining the specifics of this submission will follow shortly.
