Folder Three, Program Evaluation Process, provides information to assist the LPDC, school leaders, and the district board of education with decisions about mentoring program evaluation design; data collection, analysis and interpretation; intervals for evaluation and how and when to report evaluation results. Numerous resources are provided in this folder to assist the LPDC, school leaders, and the district board of education in planning,
conducting, and reporting a program evaluation. The results of the program evaluation must be
reported annually in the Quality Assurance Annual Report (QAAR). Note: Regulations (N.J.A.C. 6A:9-8.4(d)2) require that each district conduct a program evaluation that, at a minimum, measures the program impact on job satisfaction, assesses the adequacy of time and training for mentoring, and offers recommendations for program changes and additions.
Who will the LPDC involve in evaluating the mentoring program?
What questions will guide the design of the evaluation?
What types of evidence will the LPDC use to evaluate the effectiveness of the mentoring program?
At what intervals will data be collected and analyzed (e.g., quarterly, semester)?
Who will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting the data?
How and when will the findings be reported on the QAAR?
How will the results be used to adjust the existing mentoring plan?
